But many of these exfoliants are plastic microbeads, which cause irreversible harm to marine ecosystems. Plastic microbeads do not biodegrade, photodegrade, or thermally degrade — their half-life can span hundreds of years.

What’s worse, microbeads can absorb toxins from the ocean and, once consumed by plankton and fish, these toxins travel up the food chain — ultimately impacting our own health.

That’s why we set out to create a product that can gently exfoliate and deeply cleanse, while being kind to the environment.
